Residents in San Antonio and the county’s suburban cities must stay home and only leave their homes to pick up groceries and medicine, get gas or seek health care. Residents may go outside to run, walk or exercise if they keep their distance from others.
COVID-19 Hotline
The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District has opened a COVID-19 hotline for residents to ask questions about the virus. The hotline is available in English and Spanish. Residents can call 210-207-5779. Hours of operation for the hotline are Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 7:00 pm and Saturday & Sunday 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Residents are encouraged to download the Ready South Texas app, available in the iTunes and Google Play stores, to receive updates on the COVID-19 situation in San Antonio. Or visit their website.
Additionally, residents can text COSAGOV to 55000 to receive SMS text message updates.

Federal relief for small businesses
On March 18, Commissioners Court announced that Bexar County is providing $5.25 million to support small businesses that have suffered financial losses as a result of COVID-19. Details are being finalized and the Commissioner’s Court will vote on the contract on Tuesday, March 24th. Eligibility and application information will be available next week.
Schools:
North East ISD schools will remain closed through May 4. 32 curbside meal sites will be open daily from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Alamo Heights ISD is extending the period of time that we will close our facilities and provide our Continuous Learning for our students through Monday, May 4th. We will continue to offer our Mule Meal Drive-Thru Pick-Up Service and Delivery Service to our qualifying families.
NISD is extending the period of time we will be providing Distance learning through Monday, May 4. We will continue to offer curbside meals for children 18 years old and younger at designated locations around the District. Grab and go breakfasts will be distributed between 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. and hot lunches between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
